Living Well in WA

This event at Claremont Showground offers solutions for life, concerning health, finances, relationships and your direction in life. It's hosted by Concious Living, who bring together practitioners and businesses to showcase positive choices for healthy, sustainable wellbeing. 

You can learn more about plant-based nutrition, sustainable living and natural medicines as well as explore self-care products and nature-inspired clothing. There'll be workshops, a sound healing, kundalini yoga, meditation, and talks covering a wide rang of topics. Gluten-free organic food and wine will be available. 

While you discover natural solutions for stress, depression, weight gain, insomnia or gut health, the kids can enjoy making arts and crafts, storytelling, and live entertainment.

Fermenting Vegetables Workshop Cornersmith, Sydney

Who better to learn the history and health benefits of fermentation from than Jaimee Edwards, the founding pickler and fermenter at Cornersmith in Sydney's inner west?

In this introductory workshop, you'll learn about the principles and practices of traditional fermenting. You'll get to make your own sauerkraut, kimchi and fermented vegetables as well as sample some of the products in store. Take home your own jars of fermented foods plus some recipe cards that will help you start fermenting at home. 

Cornersmith has stores that serve seasonal cafe menus, and a picklery, where they operate the cooking school. The focus here is on ethical food production, sustainable business practices, and lots of community engagement.

Geelong Vegan Lifestyle Market

Geelong Vegan Lifestyle Market is held on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre. This  market is a celebration of the fastest growing social movement of the decade with live music, amazing food and a wide variety of stalls. It’s a great place to explore options for sustainable, cruelty-free and ethical choices when shopping for  products and trying delicious new foods!

You’ll find a bustling market that includes food and drinks, health and beauty,  clothing and fashion, home décor, and plenty more. Every market features interesting speakers covering a range of topics, including health, wellness, sustainability, animal rights and plant-based living. The market is 100% animal product free, single-use plastic free and also supports Sea Shepherd and Victorian Lamb Rescue.

Adelaide Vegans - Dinner at V Spot

Adelaide Vegans is an informal group of people who regularly meet for dinner. They bring together vegans and vegetarians transitioning to vegan at a range of social gatherings. If you’re a new vegan, you’ll be supported in your journey here. This dinner is being hosted at V Spot Pizza Bar, Adelaide’s first and only vegan pizza place. The menu is loaded with delicious and authentic pizzas, created with homemade dough and sauces, and cooked in a traditional stone deck oven.

Smith & Deli Lazy Picnic Melbourne Vegan Meetup

Join Melbourne’s largest vegan Meetup group for a picnic in the park. Smith & Deli has fast become a Melbourne institution, so whether you’re a massive fan or yet to be initiated, you can be sure you’ll go home well fed. Smith & Deli is a New York style deli with all the trimmings and plenty of puns! Look forward to sandwiches like Anaphylaxis of Evil, Nobody Calls Me Chicken Salad, Parmageddon and Home Alone. You’ll also be tempted by plenty of sweets, drinks, plant-based groceries and takehome meals.

At this event, you’ll meet up, grab your food, and head to the nearby park for an easy picnic. The Melbourne Vegan Meetup Group is for vegans and people interested in making the transition. They host a number of meetup events, where you can meet like-minded people and explore a variety of plant-based venues.

Vegan Wellness Workshop, Brisbane

Join naturopath and herbalist Sheila Murray from Brisbane Natural Health as she shares over 15 years of experience in naturopathic, holistic medicine. When transitioning to a more plant-based diet, knowing what you need and how to maintain the correct amount of nutrients for a balanced ecosystem within your body is important for health and wellbeing.

This workshop looks at changes that occur when you remove animal products from your diet and addresses ways to support yourself nutritionally through the transition in a healthy, balanced and sustainable manner. Brisbane Natural Health are passionate about helping people to live a life that they love. They consider themselves health detectives who love to dig deep to find the underlying reasons of sickness.
