Chocolate and hazelnut doughnuts

These decadent doughnuts are gluten-free, refined sugar free, and easy to make. What's not to like!

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and grease doughnut moulds.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients, ensuring there are no lumps (depending on your cocoa powder, you may need to sift it into the mixture).
  3. Add the wet ingredients, mixing until a thick consistency forms.
  4. Add the mixture to the doughnut moulds only about 75 percent of the way to allow for rising of the mixture.
  5. Bake for 15-20 mins or until baked all the way through.
  6. While the doughnuts are cooling, melt together the chocolate and coconut oil.
  7. Once the doughnuts have cooled (approx. 10 minutes), dip them in the chocolate and then add the hazelnuts on top.
  8. Set for a further 5 minutes and enjoy!
