Start your day the gut-loving way with this delicious and satisfying bircher (aka overnight oats) recipe by Jacqueline Alwill.

Method

  1. Combine rolled oats, coconut, chia, hemp and sultanas in a bowl and mix.
  2. Add coconut yoghurt, orange zest, vanilla and boiling water and mix. Add cinnamon if desired.
  3. Cover and place in fridge overnight.
  4. Serve for breakfast with a scoop of yoghurt, followed by the bircher and topped with fresh figs, orange and chopped almonds.
