Love BUDS Burger Patties are the first product on shelves from Aussie startup All G Foods. Team Nourish gave these meaty vegan burgs a whirl, and we weren’t disappointed!
Landing in retail stores in late 2021, Love BUDS™️ Burger Patties are the latest arrival on the plant-based burger scene, created here in Aus by the team at All G Foods.
Designed to look, feel, taste and perform just like a regular beef burger, the Love BUDS™️ patties promise to deliver everything we love about a classic meaty patty, while being better for us, animals, and the planet.
The team at All G Foods are on a mission to create a positive and inclusive food movement by offering plant-based protein alternatives that everybody loves. They report that their patties came top among similar products when blind-tasted by a mix of meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and flexitarians.
Excited to try them for ourselves, Team Nourish got cooking…

“Burgs are my thing. I love ’em more than I should! Newcomer BUDS promises to satisfy my urge for the flame-grilled burger experience – and they deliver! It’s meaty, juicy, and tastes (almost scarily) like a traditional burger patty. We loaded these bad bois up with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, tomato sauce, and vegan mayo. Couple of cold beers into the mix and it made for the perfect Friday night burger night!

“As an absolute burger lover, I was really keen to try out the new plant-based patties from BUDS. After frying up a couple, I topped them with some vegan cheese, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Suffice to say, it was love at first bite! From the ‘meaty’ texture to the juicy flavours, this is an impressive plant-based patty. Not to mention, it was pleasantly filling too. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for these again!”

“I’m impressed by how tasty this vegan patty from BUDS was! I really enjoyed the flavours it had to offer, the texture was perfect, and I was surprised by how well it replicates a traditional burger patty. I found adding some vegan mayo was a nice addition too, bringing out the flavours even more. It’s something I’d like to treat myself to again!”

“Wow: these made for a seriously satisfying protein-packed dinner. We found them at a local IGA, cooked them up in our hot cast-iron frying pan, and assembled them in toasted wholemeal buns with the works – lettuce, tomato, avo, dill pickles and tomato sauce.
“The texture, taste and colour were indistinguishable from a traditional gourmet beef burger, bringing back powerful sensory memories from our pre-vegan days – but safe in the knowledge that the red tinge is all beetroot, and no blood!”

Love BUDS™️ Burger Patties are 100% GMO free, gluten free, and provide 20g of high-quality plant protein per 125g patty. Being plant-based, they’re a good source of fibre too, providing up to a quarter of our daily allowance.
Currently stocked in the refrigerated section at selected IGA Supermarkets, we’re likely to see more from Love BUDS™️ soon, with plans afoot for an extended range which is set to include plant-based mince and sausages, as well as vegan chicken and bacon alternatives.
